Solidarity with the Kommunistische Partei comrades attacked in Cologne!

Communist Vanguard notes with grave concern the recent physical attack against comrades of the German-based Kommunistische Partei (KP). During a public educational meeting in Cologne, masked individuals threatened comrades with violence, including with a knife, and issued ultimatums demanding the removal of political publications. This attack represents a dangerous escalation and an attempt to silence Marxist-Leninist critique through intimidation and coercion.

We express our full solidarity with the KP, whose consistent Marxist-Leninist analysis – including on controversial but essential questions such as the class nature of the PKK and the political-economic framework of the Rojava project – has been crucial in clarifying key contradictions within the International Communist Movement.

We stand in support of the KP’s efforts to build a revolutionary party on principled Marxist-Leninist foundations. Their resolve to continue political critique in the face of threats – whether verbal or physical – sets an example for communists internationally. From Britain, Communist Vanguard is committed to carrying forward this shared task of revolutionary analysis, education, and organisation, in alignment with our communist and internationalist responsibilities.
