Communist Vanguard stands for organised class struggle against Zionism, imperialism, and the British capitalist system sustaining them.
The fight for Palestinian liberation is not separate from the class struggle in Britain. They are part of the same global confrontation – a confrontation with imperialism, Zionism, and the capitalist system that sustains them.
Palestine is occupied and bombed with British arms, funded by British capital, defended by British politicians, and justified by British media and academia. Every stage of this violence passes through the hands of workers in this country – in factories, docks, offices, universities and beyond. That is not a guilt to be moralised, but a power to be organised.
The solidarity shown over these months – in marches, occupations, walkouts and blockades – is powerful. But it is too often fragmented and disconnected from the one force in this country that has the power to stop the machine: the working class.
Much is already being done within trade unions to expose and disrupt links with Israeli apartheid. Every step forward is a real contribution to the global fight against Zionism. But to multiply that impact, we need more than isolated actions and formal motions. We need organisation.
What is missing is an organised pole within the workers’ movement – one that rejects class collaboration, gives direction to struggles, and coordinates action across unions and sectors. This kind of coordination will not come from the existing trade union leaderships. It must be built by conscious, militant, vanguard workers: those who are ready to fight inside their unions and also forge links across them.
This means identifying the real enemy – British capital and its role in imperialism – and developing strategies that connect local action with international solidarity. Strikes, disinvestments, motions, investigations, mass political education: none of this can be improvised. It must be planned and unified. As Communist Vanguard, we stand ready to support this process however we can – offering political clarity, organisational assistance, and a revolutionary perspective. The enemy is organised. So must we be.
